Pointcheck for SharePoint is a free monitoring tool that enables easy monitoring of critical performance counters for SharePoint, IIS and Windows Operating Systems. Pointcheck can be downloaded and installed to monitor as many WFEs as necessary. It can be installed in any client machine that has access to the WFE. 

After installing Pointcheck, simply launch the application and specify the WFE machine and URL for the site you would like to be monitored. Pointcheck provides an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) which can also be run in your system tray. It does not install anything on the WFE server. All the access is done remotely from the client machine where Pointcheck was installed. Pointcheck will monitor as many machines as you want but only one at a time.
